Ms. McManus has been on LaSalle’s staff since 2005, and has been a therapist in the field of sexual abuse and trauma for nearly 20 years. She is currently the Director for Clinical Services and supervises clinical staff in LaSalle’s Specialized Treatment Services Program which includes both residential and outpatient programs. Many of the youth participating in these programs have engaged in sexually harmful behavior and suffer from complex trauma and mental health issues.
Ms. McManus currently maintains a private practice in Albany, NY, and in addition to her work as a therapist, provides training and consultation services regionally and nationally on trauma informed care, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), sexually harmful behavior, vicarious trauma and self-care.
Prior to joining LaSalle School, Ms. McManus worked with St. Anne Institute’s community based services program providing specialized treatment for children, adolescents and adults affected by trauma and sexual abuse.
Ms. McManus earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Social Welfare at the State University of New York at Albany, NY.
